Josh & Abby Smith - Owners of The Dirty Bird 815, LLC
How it started...
Back in February of 2020, ideas were brewing. After sharing the chicken that Josh liked to make at home with friends and family, it was obvious to us that the chicken had to be shared with our community. We started researching brick and mortar locations only to realize that we didn't have the funds to start there. We didn't know what to do, until COVID hit.
We went on lockdown and during that time we experimented day and night. We brainstormed and made a business plan. We decided that turning Josh's old race car trailer into a food truck was a less inexpensive way to be able to open our own business. Did we know what we were doing? NOPE. Did we have any experience owning our own business? NOPE. Did we believe that we could make this work? YEP! Sounds crazy, I know, but we took a leap of faith together to better our family, and this is the story of how that all works out.
Follow our journey into Food Truck & Restaurant Ownership - the ups, the downs, the good and the bad. I can't wait to keep sharing our adventure with you!
